I am a fully qualified teacher with many years of successful one-to-one teaching and classroom teaching experience. I have now worked full-time as a professional tutor for several years, since leaving a successful former career in veterinary practice.

I attended both Port Regis and Bryanston School as a Music Scholar, before gaining an honours degree from the University of Bristol. I graduated top in my year group at Bristol and won two university awards. My dissertation was later published.

I later went on to gain a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE(M)) from St Mary鈥檚 University, Twickenham, and have successfully taught for several years in primary schools across London and Surrey.

I have extensive teaching and tutoring experience, both in the classroom and on a one-to-one basis. I teach children with a wide range of ages and abilities and I have also taught many children with special educational needs and behavioural challenges.

I have particular experience in helping children coming from abroad to gain entry into English independent schools, including scholarship students.

I find helping children to learn inspiring and extremely rewarding, and I thoroughly enjoy all areas of teaching and tutoring.

My lessons are aimed at helping students to problem-solve, build their confidence, independence and exam technique and boost their creativity. Sessions are fun, challenging and engaging and aim to help the student to really start to enjoy learning. I teach in a friendly and supportive manner, helping to stretch an individual鈥檚 academic ability, whilst equipping them with the tools required to tackle exams with clarity and confidence.

In my spare time I like to travel, go to music concerts and art galleries, swim, scuba dive, ride horses and go for walks on the beach with my dog.
